Long time no post
As you can see....right before Rachel came home for spring break....we had our first snow/hail storm. It was great to see the bamboo with the ground all white. But as you can see, spring had already sprung here. Besides it never snows in this part of "sunny CA".
Well much has happened since the last post. Rachel blew into town for her spring break. We accomplished much from the list of things to do for the wedding. We even had time for a bridal shower and some fun as well.
Then Larry and I left for the San Francisco garden show. It is a huge show in the Cow Palace that our business has a booth in. We worked for two days...stayed in a nice hotel.(perks for working) had a great meal of coconut shrimp on the way home on Sun.
Then a busy week with Daniel taking the Ca. High School Exit Exam....that even if you pass in the 10 the grade you still have to finish high school....they should come up with another name for it. But, you can not get a High School diploma if you do not pass this exam before you graduate... Then my Mom is still here. Along with all the normal stuff that needs to get done. Larry is building additions on to the house. So lots of dust, noise, and trips to Home Depot.
Larry, Daniel, and Roger spent some time in LaHonda this last weekend fixing up the rentals....but to much rain to get some of the projects done. They also got invited to a funeral for Ann Dodson...and bought another car....so another trip is needed to get the car and finish the projects.
Just got word the Jesse Cole...a boy Jonathan and Julie went to school with was just killed and they are having a service for him this next weekend. I agree with Kathy Wolf....hug your kids, you don't know how long they will be here.....This serves as official warning to mine...be prepared to be hugged.
We have started playing basketball every morning around 7:30 on the dot. David, and the rest of the family then all come in for breakfast together....It is great!!! Not sure about the hour of morning chosen to play basket ball but I love having David in for breakfast. I am really going through the eggs....chickens lay lay lay. Not that I am keeping score....you little chickens....the ducks are way ahead of you in the egg laying department.
Well the day should start here soon. I need to go get a small nap in before 7:30. It is so nice and quiet in the house from 3 am to 4 or so. The only sounds are the fish tank, some really stupid roosters outside....and of course the keyboard. So have a great day...Hug someone you love....and most of all walk in the truth.
