Week three

After being in bed mostly for three days...I am up for a short period of time. Larry lovingly looked at me and asked if I was taking those water pills cause he had never seen me so puffy. It is so nice how he put it. I basically have lost my neck and facial features due to the medicine and water weight. I look and feel like the good year blimp...just hopefully not as grey. The good new is that my white blood count is down...the bad so is my red blood cell count..below where it needs to be. I keep hoping that this will be the worse of it...and I guess I have to wait and see.
It is time for bed again...I am glad that I like my bed. So does Georgia. She seems to sense that all is not well with her mistress...she keeps trying to clean my ears as if that will help. At least she is content to stay across me in the bed, guarding me from who knows what.
This Fri. Larry and I will be married 28 years. Some times it really feels like a life time and others I still wonder who is this man that I married. Guess that is what I like about him...some comfort and he keeps me guessing.

Week one

It has been a full week. Sometimes the days pass so quickly (as with the kids growing up) and sometimes it passes slowly (as in waiting for test results). One week of constant nausea. Still lots of up and downs in the energy dept. But the news came in that the medicine is starting to do what it is suppose to. My WBC and platelet count are coming down. So I guess it is all worth while.
Meanwhile back on the ranch or should I say at the Bamboo Farm...Daniel has graduated from HS. He has completed all his work assignment and been awarded a diploma from the local charter school. He can't pick up his diploma till June but it will say Dec. 2006! He has also started the local college full time with 21 hrs. Since he has already enough credits to be a soph. I will not question his sanity. Just trying to get some stuff out of the way before LETU...and some people think I am an over achiever.??!
At the ranch where the kids have science day each week....baby goats have been born. They got to watch and experience it all. I think there are about 10 new little ones. Yesterday was horn bud burning, vaccination day, and weigh in. It was also play with your friends until you drop day. They love going to the Covingtons.
Wed. is stay at home and try to catch up on school work day, straighten the house day, and go to church night. Hopefully I will have the energy to supervise all these wonderful activities...if not oh well....such is life.
